Chatrapathi - Sentimental Shivaji
Watched Chatrapthi, and I understood why it's a blockbuster all over in the Telugu market...because it is entertaining as hell...with 2 of the most well loved figures in Telugu Cinema, Prabhas and Shreya.
A movie with all the Indian masala, with the right spices of great dances, good bods, technicolour, power dialogues, action pack (including a fight with the shark in the sea) and just with the added flavour for Indian tounges, mother sentiment...It always works till the end.
I think I have already talked about Prabhas in my earlier blog about Varsham, and to continue, Prabhas is doing great. He looks real good in this movie, delivers his dialogues well, and has a knack of attracting women, with his charming looks and height.
Althought the movie does not hold a fabulous, or absolutely unique story-line, it's screenplay is done well. Comedy track is good. Anniyan - Chandramukhi, Chakram spoofs are interesting.
Prabhas's dressing was well taken care of.
Songs are OK, by Keeravani. The song Gundusoodi is actually a copy from the Tamil song Kambangkaadu, released eons ago, but the cinematography of the song was good nevertheless, and it was refreshing to hear an old hit, with a new concept.
On the whole, Chatrapathi is set to rave more hearts with his power.
