Satham Podathey... Sound Proof...

I still have not regained from last night's hangover but am very impressed they way Nitin Sathya designs the soundproof room in his house for Padma Priya, so that her cries for help aren't heard outside. I am thinking of calling him to do the studio design for my station. Keep it up folks.

Feast for the Eyes and Ears

Last saturday, went with Simon to a concert held at the Musuem Theater. George Frideric Handel's Oratorio's THE MESSIAH presented by The Madras Musical Association. Simon's friend Kalyani was part of the choir. Kalyani is a playback singer introduced in Tamil with her 'Adi Kozhi' song from the movie Thendral. Kalyani has since given many performances, including one with her band 'Route 10' in Sun TV's Ooh Lalala programme. She has also done some of our Station's programme title tracks.A few lines about George Frideric Handel; he lived in the 16th century, and one of the very famous baroque composer. His works has influenced great musicians such as Mozart and Beethoven, and his work helped in the transition from Baroque to Classical Era. 'Messiah' is one of his most famous works. The Museum Theater is such an awesome place. I am not very much well versed with the acoustics part, but a concert there is such a feast to the eyes and ears. Concert was great, but there were certain solo singer's who did not make use of the hall to throw their voice, they remained 'unheard heros'. I did not stay through the concert, but I'm looking forward to attend another event in the Theater.

Grabbing Radio by the Balls...

Haha, actually the title is one coined by my programming head for one of his radio presentations... Anyway, Thirunelveli and Madurai RJ team landed up in the Hello FM headquarters of Chennai some days back, and I spent the whole day today, familiarising them with console operation and our radio automation software.... Well, actually it's quite fun teaching sometimes. I really think I am a bad teacher... I think I can market quite well, but I have a patience range of a teaspoon. Anyway, all went well and quite fun. I might have another session with them tomorrow.. Oh and tomorrow brings me to another topic... The Rjs, of Hello FM are going to pledge our eyes for donation tomorrow at an eye hospital behind Asoka hotel. For more insight you can read the HINDU article here.Organ donation is a nice gesture. So whoever of you guys, thinking of whichever organ to donate, u can start with those 2 eye balls of yours... Oh and that ties up with the title very nicely.... Grab radio by the Balls...
